Great read. Lots of fun and complicated enough that you are not sure who done it at all. Author is very creative and great with settings and names.
This thoroughly entertaining and impossible-to-put-down crime story hits all the right notes. Set in Boston, a classic melting pot of culture and ideas, amidst the values, questions, lifestyle, and colorful characters of a particular generation, the plot unfolds through the issues of cops, workers, unions, organized crime, politics, dissidents, race, friends and lovers. Characters come vividly to life through spot-on dialogue and I want to hear more from this author who seems to know them so well.

Highly entertaining, well-plotted and well-written. A little over-the-top, but in a way that suits the subtitle. Sharp dialogue that fits the characters. Pitch perfect descriptions of everything from how to examine a crime scene to how to make a perfect weld. Looking forward to more of Detective Ed Iannucci!
A page turner that takes you on a journey through dark side of the city of Boston! Made me feel like I wanted to watch a baseball game at Fenway Park while talking about deflating footballs with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon and eating New England clam chowder! Not sure who this Drew Banton is but I can't wait for his next novel.
Good, well written, solid police procedural with several left turns. Likable but realistic characters. Unusual but unforced bias in favor of the working class. I'd read another.
